Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT)
EIT provides an Advanced Diploma in Biomedical Engineering (Course Code 52885WA) delivered online with a strong practical focus. Students study a range of foundation subjects and specialised biomedical/clinical engineering subject over 18 months.
Instructors have a wealth of educational and industry experience and are required to have training and assessment qualifications to Cert IV level.
Students come from all over the world and over the course of 18 months study, form global networks.

THE medical ROOM
Dani Forster from THE medical ROOM has updated her training schedule for 2025.
Courses are planned for Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Wagga Wagga over the year.
Provides learners with the essential knowledge and understanding required before testing medical equipment. Including an understanding of patient safety in relation to medical equipment, an overview of the legislation and the Australian standards relating to the safe use and management of medical devices, and the theory and practice of Biomedical Electrical Safety Testing; electrical safety testing of medical devices to AS/NZS 3551.

Unit 1b - Patient Area Inspection & Testing
Focuses on Australian and New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3003 and the specific requirements for electrical installation in patient areas, guiding the learner in the practical implementation of AS/NZS 3003, and the theory and practice of routine annual testing of patient areas.
Course duration: ½ day (morning) + e-learning (approx. 4 hrs).
